We had the honour of being part of this fantastic project for BP, designed, managed and co-ordinated by The 5Gs. It was a mammoth project involving custom PCB boards 100’s of lines of code, incredible animation designs and the most phenomenal cladding and outer frame produced by the the Fix8group. Our role in this project was to design and produce the 100 actuators and glowing spheres, and mounting these in a vertical array of modular rows. So many elements needed to be considered, heat, noise, lighting, ergonomics, shipping, etc, and the end result is an incredible beautiful, breath taking interactive 3D display.
The project involved so many different processes and suppliers, we required high temperature 3dprinted brackets, laser cut seals, waterjet cut aluminium plates, and we can confirm hundred stepper motors and gearing is quite a sight!
